FSPI Cine — Branding for Film and Audiovisual Program
We developed the branding and visual identity system for FSPI Cine, a cultural initiative by the Fund of Solidarity for Projects of Innovation (FSPI), a program of the French government that supports innovative and development-focused projects across different regions. This specific initiative focuses on strengthening the film and audiovisual industry in Central America, promoting creative growth, collaboration, and professional development within the sector.
The main objective of the project was to create a distinctive and adaptable brand identity that could effectively communicate the program’s mission while resonating with filmmakers, artists, and cultural institutions. The visual system needed to feel contemporary, dynamic, and rooted in the history of cinema, while also being flexible enough to work across a wide range of communication materials and formats. The conceptual approach draws inspiration from the origins of cinema and early motion experiments, where movement was created through the sequencing of images and the use of lines to suggest progression and rhythm. Based on this idea, we developed a graphic language built around linear elements and repetition, generating a sense of motion and continuity that reflects the essence of audiovisual storytelling.
Through illustration and visual exploration, we created a system of lines, patterns, and compositions that can evolve and adapt across different applications. This approach allows the identity to remain visually engaging while maintaining consistency, reinforcing the idea of cinema as a medium in constant movement and transformation. The branding system was implemented across a range of editorial and communication materials, including digital assets and printed pieces, ensuring coherence in how the initiative presents itself to its audience. Using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, we developed guidelines that define the use of typography, color, composition, and graphic elements, enabling the brand to scale and adapt to future needs.
The result is a strong and versatile visual identity that connects the historical foundations of cinema with a contemporary design approach, positioning FSPI Cine as a key platform for the growth and promotion of the audiovisual industry in Central America.
